Bio
Donald “Don” Dwaine Pishna Donald “Don” Dwaine Pishna was born on October 20, 1944 to Frank and Alma Lakin in Burwell, NE and was later lovingly adopted by Daniel and Leona Pishna. Don was raised in Ord, NE and graduated from Ord High School in 1963. He had a passion for building and could always make something out of nothing; Don was a welder by trade and built two family homes in his lifetime. He was a true provider for his children Janice, Loretta, Travis, Donald II, Calvin and dear wife, Sandy “Green” Pishna whom he married July 1, 1978. Don doted on Sandy, writing her love notes every day. In his free time, he wrenched on Ford motors and had a passion for John Deere tractors- rebuilding the tractor from his family farm and taking his family to tractor shows and pulls on the weekend. Don also loved camping, fishing and being outdoors with his friends. Don was able to join his beloved wife Sandy, his Angel Calvin and his parents when he left us on January 17, 2020. He will be fiercely missed by children Donald II (Missi) Pishna of Waverly, Jan (Kevin) Mason of Aurora, Lori (Dale) Pishna of Grand Island, Travis Pishna of Lincoln, sister Echo (Geoff) Easton, Ray (Carolyn) Platts, grandchildren Clarissa (Brad) Gross, Koda (Jade) Mason, Beaux, Zaine, and Chanse Mason, Arthur (Amy) Glines, Emily Glines, Deegan Pishna and Flynn Rogert and great-granddaughters Zaylee, Hazley and Violet. A visitation will be held at Roper & Sons Waverly Chapel, 10851 N 148th St in Waverly, on Thursday, January 23, 2020 between the hours of 4 and 7 pm. A funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. on Friday, January 24, 2020, also at Roper & Sons Waverly Chapel, with Pastor Kerry O’Bryant officiating.
