Mason County News, December 13, 2017. Raymond Dale Pape of Mason passed away on December 5, 2017, at the age of 87. He was born in Harper TX to Gilbert and Manie Cottle Pape on May 1, 1930. He graduated from Harper High School. The family moved to Rocksprings and ranched there for many years. On February 6, 1959 he married Brinda Neidigh in Leakey TX. Mr. Pape was involved with the Texas Angora Goat Raisers Association and served as a director and past president. Raymond moved to Mason upon his retirement. Mr. Pape is survived by his wife Brinda Neidigh Pape of Mason; sons Marty Pape and wife Darla of Mason, Duane Pape of Comfort; brother Buddy Pape and wife Reba of Mountain Home; and 6 grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents Gilbert and Manie Pape. A memorial is scheduled for Thursday December 14, 2017, at 2:00p.m. in the First United Methodist Church of Mason with Rev.
