Bio

Bunyan Brown, 78, of Pine Bluff, Arkansas, formerly of Cleveland County, Arkansas, died Wednesday, January 4, 1989 at Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. Mr. Brown was born in Cleveland on August 12, 1911 the son of John Irvin and Ella Virginia Lavender Brown. He was a retired employee of Arkansas Power and Light Company where her was employed for 36 years before retiring in 1977. He was reared and educated at Glendale, Lincoln County, and moved to Pine Bluff in 1930. He was a member of Greenlee Memorial Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife: Willie Marie Hill Brown, four sons: Jerry Brown, Joe A. Brown, and John R. Brown, all of Pine Bluff and Jim C. Brown of Nashville, three daughters: Marie A Jones and Mary Monk, both of Pine Buff, and Margaret Richardson of Atlanta, Georgia, a brother Harry V. Brown of Shelton, Washington, nine grandchildren and tree step great grandchildren. Funeral services were held Friday afternoon at Ralph Robinson and Son Mortuary in Pine Bluff, conducted by Rev. Jimmy Watson. Burial was in Memorial Park Cemetery by Ralph Robinson and Son of Pine Bluff, Arkansas. Obituary provided by Linda Newman (#47441297)
