Bio

Russell Duane Anglemyer, 49, of rural Franklin died Saturday, Dec. 11, 1993, in Minden as the result of a grain elevator explosion. Services are 10 a.m. Thursday at Godberson Mortuary Chapel in Kearney with the Rev. Dean Pofahl officiating. Burial with military rites provided by the Hildreth Military Group will be in Macon Union Cemetery at Macon. There is no visitation. Mr. Anglemyer was born Aug. 14, 1944, to Melvin and Eva (Tappan) Anglemyer in Niles, Mich. He attended school in Cozad. He joined the U.S. Navy in 1962, serving in the Vietnam War aboard the USS Tolovana A064. Following his discharge, he was employed at various jobs in central Nebraska before working at Farmers Co-op Grain and Supply Co. in Minden. On Feb. 23,1966, he married Jo Ann Dommer in Gothenburg. They moved to this area. He was a member of VFW and Eagles, both of Hastings. Survivors are one son, Cody of Harvard; two daughters, Romona Werner, of Gothenburg and Carmon Marlin of Lexington; his father of Niles; five brothers, Wayne of Nevada, Larry of Niles, Darrell Todd of Iowa, Steve Todd of Harvard and George Tappan of Grand Island; six sisters, Helen Nevala of Wilcox, Phyllis Schatz of Harvard, Melvagene Anglemyer of Gering, Sharon Campbell and Brenda Schreck, both of Matagorda, Texas, and Paula Dahms of Hastings; and seven grandchildren obit courtesy of Marilyn Keim
