Bio
Henrietta Kana Strunk, age 89, passed away at her residence in Oakland, Texas on December 11, 2019. She was born September 16, 1930 in Holman, Texas to Henry F. and Mary Hajovsky Kana. She married W.E. "Billy" Strunk on April 22, 1951 at Saint Wenceslaus Church in Holman. Henrietta was a dedicated and loving wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed travels and entertaining with her husband Billy and family friends. She sat on many a bleacher, for many an hour, for all her children's activities. She was a Girl Scout leader for many years and a member of the Weimar Garden Club, Weimar Literary Guild, Catholic Daughters of America and the Heritage Society Museum of Weimar. Henrietta is survived by her children; Billy Bob Strunk and wife Alice, H.O. "Butch" Strunk, Nan Houck and husband Gregg, Molly Janak and husband Michael. Grandchildren; Armour Strunk and wife Allison, Sarah Strunk, Abbey Strunk, Blanche Strunk, Colt Houck and wife Katelin, Will Houck and wife Lisa. Great grandchildren; Hayes, Codi and Levi Houck. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Billy, and her son Tim. Brothers; Fred, Jack, Henry, Jiggs, Frank, John and Leroy. Sisters; Mary, Annie, Cecilia. Services will be Tuesday, December 17, 2019 at Saint Michael Catholic Church in Weimar with Father Wayne Flagg officiating. Visitation will be at 9:00 AM, rosary at 9:15 AM, and the service at 10:00 AM. Burial to follow at Weimar Masonic Cemetery. Pallbearers are Gregg Houck, Michael Janak, Colt Houck, Will Houck, Armour Strunk and Thomas Thompson. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Oakland Heritage Society, 1123 CR 270, Oakland, Texas 78951 or the charity of your choice.
