Services for Mary L. Lively, 78, of Grapeland will be at Bailey & Foster Funeral Chapel; burial will follow in Livelyville Cemetery. Mrs. Lively spend most of her younger years alongside her husband serving our country in the US Armed Forces. After his retirement from the US Navy they settled in Grapeland raising their family of four children. She was the owner of Gotcha You Covered Upholstery Shop and co owner of the Pea Shed in Grapeland where she spent most of her time during the spring and summer months shelling and selling peas and farm produce from their farm. She was an avid fisher and belonged to the bass club, Just the Two of Us, where she participated many fishing tournaments with her husband. She loved to watch the horse racing at Louisiana Downs, the casinos, traveling with their travel trailer and visiting their grandchildren. Mrs. Lively was preceded in death by her mother, Annie Mae Conner; husband of 55 years, Edsel Ray Liveley and two brothers, Howard and Paul. She is survived by her sons, Kenneth Ray Lively (Lesli) and Douglas Edsel Lively (Belinda); daughters, Lana Boren (Matt) and Laurie Chandler; 16 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.
