Martha (Kudelka) Hlavaty, age 91, of Plano, formerly of West, passed away early Wednesday morning, December 4, 2019 at DaySpring Senior Living Center in Plano. A rosary will be recited 6:00 p.m. Friday at Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel, followed by visitation until 8:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 a.m. Saturday, December 7, 2019 at St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption in West, with Rev. Timothy Vaverek as celebrant. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery in West. Martha was born January 19, 1928 in Ross, the daughter of Benjamin and Cecilia (Chudej) Kudelka. She was a 1946 graduate of Ross High School. On April 12, 1950 she was united in marriage to Clarence "C.J." Hlavaty in West. C.J. preceded her in death on September 1, 2012. Martha was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption in West. She was a proud member of VFW Post #4819 Ladies Auxiliary. Martha worked as a bookkeeper for Sears Department Store in Waco for many years. She enjoyed traveling, dancing, and drinking wine. Martha is also preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Josephine Blaschke. Pallbearers are her nephews. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Mary's Church or St. Mary's School Endowment Fund.
