Shirley was first married 26 Jun 1952 in Gloucester Co, VA to Oral Dewayne Johnston who died in May 1953. She was married 5 Jun 1954 in Gloucester Co, VA to Warren Woodrow Barker who died in Nov 1966. They had two children, Ralph Edward Barker and Barbara Ann Barker Sawyer She was then married 2 May 1968 in Virginia Beach, VA to James W. Farmer Jr. Shirley and James had a child James W.
