EL CAMPO -- Mary Martha Marik Borak, 94, of El Campo, died Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2001. She was born Feb. 13, 1907, in East Bernard, to the late Ignac and Anna Kubes Marik. She was a homemaker and a Catholic. She was a member of the Catholic Daughters of America, Legion of Mary and KJZT. Survivors: daughter, Rita Vackar of El Campo; sons, Simon Borak of Columbus, Charles Borak of El Campo and Frank Borak of Dale; 11 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and four step-great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by: husband, James Borak; sister, Annie Vecera; and brothers, L.J. Marik, Frank Marik, Joe Marik, John Marik, Albert Marik, Ignac Marik, Ed Marik and Charlie Marik. Visitation was 10 a.m. Thursday at Triska Funeral Home chapel. Wake services were 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home chapel. Services will be 10:30 a.m. today at St. Philip's Catholic Church in El Campo, the Rev. Thu Nguyen officiating. Burial will be at Holy Cross Memorial Park.
