********************************************* Mary Jo Olmstead, 75, of Fremont died Saturday, March 6, 2010, at her home. She was born July 6, 1934, in Rogers to James and Elizabeth (Mundy) Costello. She grew up in the surrounding Fremont area and moved into Fremont during her grade school years. She was a 1952 graduate of St. Patrick’s Catholic High School in Fremont. Mary Jo Costello married Gerald D. “Ozzie” Olmstead on May 30, 1953, at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Fremont. Mary Jo and her husband owned and operated Oz’s Hide-A-Way Lounge in Fremont. Her husband preceded her in death March 4, 1997. She was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church and the Fremont Airboat Club. Survivors include: three sons, Patrick Olmstead of Corvalis, Ore., Michael Olmstead of Fremont and Dan (and wife, Alice) Olmstead of Seattle; three daughters, Mary Kay (and husband, Dave) Orr and Jean (and husband, Phil) Klevemann, all of Fremont, and April (and husband, Allan) Busch of Omaha; a brother, Bill (and wife, Susie) Costello of Fremont; three sisters, Margaret Ann Costello of San Francisco, Patricia Fleet of Seattle and Catherine (and husband, Virgil) Unger of Las Vegas; 11 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She also was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Timothy; a sister, Judy Kay; two brothers, Marty and Jim Costello; a grandson, Joseph Michael Klevemann; and daughter-in-law, Pamela Olmstead. The memorial Mass will be 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Fremont with the Rev. Ron Battiato officiating. There is no visitation, however, friends may sign the register book from 2-6 p.m. Friday with the family receiving friends from 4-6 p.m., all at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont.
