Bio

Thanks to contributor #47552612; Columbus-Mrs. (Neal) Drum, Sr., 71, died unexpectedly at her home 772 22nd Ave. Funeral services will be at St. Luke's United Church of Christ, with Rev. Russell Mertz officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery. Mrs. Drum was born February 17, 1898, at Hiawatha, KS., the daughter of John and Elizabeth Ficken Kuck. She attended school at Richland and was married to Neal Drum in Omaha, April 23, 1921. They farmed seven years near Oconee, then moved to Columbus. She was a member of St. Luke's Church and Ladies Aid. Surviving are five children, Leland of Millard, Neal Jr., Mrs. Lloyd (Margaret) Waldman and Dwayne, all of Columbus; Maurice; 15 grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. Her husband died June 30, 1956. Also preceding her in death were her parents, stepfather and a stepbrother, Fred Bott of Richland.
