Lorraine Sliva, age 75, of Columbus died Tuesday, November 12, 2019 in Lincoln. Mass of Christian Burial is 11:00 am Monday, November 18 at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Columbus with the Rev. Ross Burkhalter officiating. Visitation is on Sunday from 3-5 pm at St. Anthony Church with a Vigil service to follow at 5:00 pm, also at the church. Visitation continues Monday morning at St. Anthony Church from 10:00 am until service time. Lorraine Sliva was born June 9, 1944 in Paxton, Nebraska to Anton & Evelyn (Hurt) Roschynialski. She grew up in Sutherland, North Platte, Seward and Columbus. Lorraine received her education from Columbus High School. She was married to Virgil Sliva for over 55 years. The couple lived in St. Edward, Osceola, and Columbus. Lorraine worked various jobs over the years including owning and operating the City Café and Polka Dot Lounge in St. Edward, at Cloverlodge Care Center, Columbus Community Hospital and upon retirement at Pizza Ranch until her recent illness.
