Peter Ray “Pete” Kabella, 61, died on November 2, 2019 at his home in Katy, Texas after a brief battle with lung cancer. Pete was born on October 22, 1958 in Houston, Texas to Raymond Joseph Kabella and Becky Huffar Kabella. He grew up in Baytown, Texas, and was graduated from Robert E. Lee High School and Lee College. He also was graduated from the University of Texas, where he studied Petroleum Land Management. Pete operated his own business as a Landman combining three of his loves: maps, research, and Texas. He was preceded in death by both of his parents, and by his brother, Patrick Glen Kabella. He is survived by, and will be greatly missed by his loving wife, Elizabeth; his sister, Joan; niece, Jennifer Ostermayer and her children Aidan, Nicholas, and Kadence; nephew, Christopher; cousins, Rodrick Cezeaux and his wife Jana, Jon Cezeaux, Mike Cezeaux and his wife Cindy, Judy Cezeaux, Diana Cezeaux and her wife Cole; as well as many other relatives, friends, and business associates. A Celebration of Life Service at the Schmidt Funeral Home Grand Parkway Chapel, in Katy, with Rev. Daniel Schramm officiating. Schmidt Funeral Home had charge of arrangements.
