Bio
Michael Lynn Prokop, 61, passed away in Garrett, Texas on Wednesday, October 30, 2019. Burial will be at St. Joseph's Cemetery. Michael was born in Dallas, Texas, on November 29, 1957, to Alvin John and Geraldine Louise (Dlabaj) Prokop. He grew up in Dallas and Ennis and graduated from St. John High School in 1976. He went on to study Electronics at Navarro College. Michael worked for 19 years for Elk Roofing Company and two years for Russell Stover. He was a member of St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church and KJT. He enjoyed being outdoors, hunting, fishing, and riding motorcycles. He was mechanically gifted and could fix anything put in front of him. He was preceded in death by his father, Alvin Prokop; and step-father, William “Bill” Adams. Michael is survived by his son, Timothy Prokop; daughter, Amber Baldwin and her husband, Mark; grandchildren, Emily and Brayden; his mother, Geraldine "Gerry" Adams; brothers: Steve Prokop and his wife, Eva, David Prokop and his wife, Leah, Clifford Adams, and Thomas Adams; sister, Susan Wicklander; along with a host of extended family and friends.
