Janet Gene Blanton March 09, 1944 - October 25, 2019 Janet Gene Blanton, age 75, passed away on Friday, October 25, 2019, at her home in Louisiana. Funeral service will be held 11:00 AM, Friday, November 1, 2019 at the Wilson-Orwosky Funeral Home Chapel. Msgr Earl Provenza will officiate. Interment will be at Pilgrim Rest Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at 10:00 AM. Janet was born on March 9, 1944, in Emory, TX, to the parentage of Raymond Eugene and Verba Mae Richardson Spence. She married Gerald Blanton, in Emory, on January 27, 1962, and together they had four children. After their divorce in 1990, Janet lived independently and enjoyed spending time with her family. Janet was a homemaker, and an employee of Rains ISD for approximately 10 years. She was an avid reader, lover of books, plants, and loved to be outside mowing or gardening. Janet was also a vocalist that participated in various church choirs and ensembles throughout her adult life. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the following organizations: Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS), American Cancer Society, Pilgrim Rest Cemetery Association, or St. Joseph's Hospice. Survivors include: 3 Daughters: Rhonda Reppond (James) of Keatchie, LA; Deanna Nixon (Patrick) of Ramona, OK; and Kelli Farney (Mike) of Broken Arrow, OK; 1 Son: Lee Blanton of Midlothian, TX Brother: Roy Spence (Delois) of Emory 9 Grandchildren: Christopher, Tiffany, Jennifer, Joshua "Cody", Allison, Courtney, Libby, Ashlee, Halee, Zachary and Savannah 2 Great-grandchildren: Willow and Trinity Numerous other loving family and friends Preceded by: Parents; former husband: Gerald Blanton; Brother, Carl Spence; and Sister, Glenda Fritz
