Shirley Hester August 26, 1953 - October 13, 2019 Shirley Hester age 66 of Centre passed away Sunday October 13th at her residence. Funeral services will be 3 PM Wednesday October 16th at Perry Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Lewis Conaway and Ricky Stokes officiating, burial will follow in Providence Cemetery (Hwy 411). The family will receive friends from 1 until 3 PM Wednesday at the funeral home. Pallbearers include Al Young, Robert Smith, Charlie Reynolds, Stephen Reynolds, Michael Reynolds and Steven Vance. Survivors include sons, Larry (Wanda) Hester of Milledgeville, Ga. and Shane (Melinda) Hester of Cedartown, Ga.; daughters, Rebecca (Mark Smith) Collins of Centre, Tammy (Norman) Whitmore of Piedmont, Debra (Robert) Smith of Rome, Ga., Shannon Hester and Chandra Hester both of Ga.; brothers, Ed (Wanda) Reynolds of Piedmont and Wayne (Rhonda) Reynolds of Piedmont; sisters, Catherine Pruitt of Centre and Cora Lee Bullock of Piedmont; 21 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilburn Hester. Mrs. Hester was a native of Cherokee County and the daughter of the late Homer and Eva Johnson Reynolds and was of the Baptist Faith.
