Parents John William Conner and Mary Mildred Wilson Married Bobby Ray Vinyard Elsie Lee (Conner) Vinyard, 78 of Bowie, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, October 12, 2019 in Wichita Falls, TX. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 17 at Southside Baptist Church in Bowie, with Pastor Tony Rogers officiating. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery in Bowie. Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, October 16, at the White Family Funeral Home in Bowie. Elsie was born August 20, 1941 in Levelland, TX to John and Mildred (Wilson) Conner. She graduated from Levelland High School 1959. Elsie married Bob Vinyard on March 29, 1959 in Levelland. She was a homemaker and enjoyed raising their three girls. Elsie and Bob then moved to Irving in 1974, and Elsie went to work for Mary Kay Cosmetics where she worked for 27 years and retired as an assistant scientist. In 2001, the couple then made their home in Bowie. She was an avid reader and enjoyed camping and traveling. Elsie was an esophageal cancer survivor. She is preceded in death by her parents John Conner and Mildred Huff. Elsie is survived by her husband Bob Vinyard of Bowie; daughters Tracy Pettyjohn and husband Johnny of Fort Worth, Cozette Vinyard and Corey Barker of Fort Worth and Chantel Housour and D.J. of Bowie; grandchildren Misty Powell, Tina Clark, Jerrod Housour, Dusty Buchanan, Justin Housour, Trey Pierce, Coy Cooley and Conor Cooley; 11 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
