Henry Hank Novak Henry L. "Hank" Novak, 79, formerly of Weston, died Friday, Nov. 12, 2004, at South Haven Care Center in Wahoo. He was born Oct. 2, 1925, in rural Weston to Frank and Bessie (Tesinsky) Novak. He attended a country school west of Weston. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. After returning from the service, he became the third generation in his family to take care of the family farm. He was a member of Weston American Legion Post No. 307 and Wahoo VFW Post No. 4502. Survivors include: a sister-in-law, Lucille Novak; two brothers-in-law, Ed Ourada and George Jonas; 11 nieces; four nephews; and many grand-nieces and grand-nephews. He was preceded in death by: his parents; brothers, Frank and Milo Novak; and sisters, Henrietta Ourada, Lillian Dvorak and Marcella Jonas. The funeral will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Svoboda Funeral Home in Wahoo with the Vicar Chip Borgstad officiating. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Weston City cemetery with military rites by American Legion Post No. 307 and VFW Post No. 4502. Memorials made be made to American Legion Post N0. 307.
