Bernice E. Clark, 88 December 18, 1930 ~ October 3, 2019 Bernicewas born on December 18, 1930 in Fremont, Nebraska to Charles W. and Theresa A. (Solko) Riepl. She attended grade school in Saunders and Douglas Counties and graduated from Elkhorn, Nebraska High School in 1947. She attended Creighton Memorial/St. Joseph's Hospital School of Nursing and graduated with a Registered Nurse(R.N.) Degree in 1951. She married George Clark in October of 1951 at Elkhorn St. Patrick's Church and they lived in Wahoo, NE and West Point, NE before moving to Beatrice,NE in 1962. They were blessed with seven children. She had worked at the Mennonite/Beatrice Community Hospital as an R.N. since 1965 and had also worked at the Wymore, NE Clinic until her retirement. She was a member of the St. Joseph's Catholic Church of Beatrice , NE and also the Altar Society of the church. She was recognized as the 1997 "Professional Woman of the Year" by the Beatrice Chamber of Commerce. She enjoyed reading and gardening. Bernice E. Clark, 88, of Beatrice, Nebraska, died in a Lincoln, Nebraska hospital on Thursday, October 3, 2019. Left to cherish her memory are four sons, William "Bill" Clark, George (Sherri) Clark and Kevin (Krista) Clark all of Beatrice and Thomas (Joleen) Clark of Cortland; three daughters, Mary Clark and Theresa Hyberger both of Beatrice and Patricia (Andy) Schoen of Adams, NE; 15 grandchildren, Retha (Jason) Siems, Jackie Saathoff, Kim (Jessie) Fuller, Sarah (Jesse) Vater, Chris (Billi) Hyberger, Travis (Alexa) Clark, Brandon Clark, Katie (Bryce) Arp, Kyle Schoen, Hannah Schoen, Allison (Tyler) Sand, Alex Clark, Jacobson Podtburg, Josalynn Podtburg and Brooklynn Podtburg; ten great-grandchildren, Kyler and Aubrey Siems, Preston and Mckenzie Saathoff, Paige Fuller, Dominick and Ethan Dreesen, Ashton Hyberger, Hayley Arp and Emmett Sand; one sister-in-law, Edith Riepl of Fremont. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband George who died on July 9, 1974; son-in-law, Robert Hyberger; grandson, Phillip Schoen; three sisters Theresa Booth, Rose Ann Vanek and Helen Humlicek; five brothers Philip, Edward, Aloysius, Harry and Robert Riepl. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Tuesday, October 8, 2019 at the St. Joseph's Catholic Church of Beatrice. Burial will be in the Lincoln Memorial Park Cemetery of Lincoln. A Scriptural Rosary Service will be held at the Fox Funeral Home at 6:00 P.M. Monday evening. The family will meet and greet relatives and friends following the Rosary on Monday. A memorial has been established to the family's choice. Visitation will be held at the Fox Funeral Home of Beatrice from 3:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Sunday, 8:00 A.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Monday and at the church one hour preceding the services on Tuesday.
