Manuel Edgar “Putla” Schulze, 79, of Magnolia, TX, passed away on Monday, September 16, 2019 in Magnolia, TX following a lengthy illness. He was born in La Grange, TX on June 4, 1940 to Edgar and Leona (Tiedt) Schulze of La Grange, TX. He spent most of his adult life in and around the Houston area. His favorite hobbies were hunting and fishing. He is survived by his four children: Becky Stiltner and her husband, Ray; Darrell Schulze and his wife, Gloria; Teresa Daub; David Daub; Crystal Short and her husband, Jonathan; nine grandchildren: Raymond and Jason Stiltner; Brittany (Stiltner) Wells; Shawn and Zach Schulze; Katie and Wesley Daub; Hannah (Short) Charles; and Parker Short; four great-grandchildren: Brelyn Stiltner, Eliana and Eva Schulze; and JB Wells; brother, Emmett Schulze and his wife, Beatrice of La Grange; and ex-wife and mother of his children, Gloria (Lidiak) Schulze. Putla was preceded in death by his parents, Edgar and Leona Schulze; infant son, Manuel Jr.; wife, Betty; and niece, Cathy (Schulze) Matherne. Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 19, 2019 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Koenig-Belvill Funeral Home in La Grange, TX. Funeral Services will be held at Koenig-Belvill Funeral Home in La Grange, TX, at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 19, 2019. Burial will follow at the La Grange City Cemetery. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Koenig - Belvill Funeral Home & Cremations, 208 W. Pearl, La Grange, Texas.
