Bio

Daniel R. Asche, 46, of Columbus, Nebraska, died Tuesday, September 24, 2019, at the Columbus Community Hospital. The funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 28th, at 2:00 PM, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, in Columbus, with Pastor Patrick Sparling and Pastor Chris Ramstad officiating. Interment will be in Christ Lutheran Cemetery, rural Columbus. Visitation will be held on Friday from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Gass Haney Funeral Home and continue on Saturday from 1:00 PM until service time at the church. There will be a family prayer service on Saturday at 1:45 PM at the church. Memorials are suggested to those of the family choice. Daniel “Danny” Ross Asche was born March 25, 1973, in Columbus, Nebraska, to Eldon and Elaine (Cech) Asche. He was baptized and confirmed at Immanuel Lutheran Church. He attended District 9 grade school and graduated from Lakeview High School. He was active in 4-H and FFA. He was previously employed at Camaco, Behlen Manufacturing, Central Confinement, and was currently employed by Kallweit Farms. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, and was passionate about Husker Football. Danny was married to Keri (Dreifurst) Hobza. Together they had a son, Brent Asche. He was then married to Claudia (Lee) Wunderlich. During their marriage they had two children, Jarod and Kailee Asche. They later divorced. Danny was very proud of his three children. Dan is survived by: Children: Brent Asche, Jarod Asche, and Kailee Asche all of Columbus, NE Father: Eldon Asche of Columbus, NE Brother: Lyle (Janese) Asche of Loveland, CO Sister: Kim (Ron) Mohr of Columbus, NE Brother: Greg (Sheryl Palen) Asche of Lusk, WY Sister: Michelle (Dan) Hellbusch of Columbus, NE Nine nieces and nephews. Danny was preceded in death by: Mother: Elaine Asche Brother: Tommy Asche Grandparents: Emil & Ida Asche and Theodore & Lillian Cech
