Bio
Mrs. Covington passed away Sunday, September 22, 2019, at her home in Frederick. Ollie May (DeFoor) Covington was born August 13, 1928, in Throckmorton, Texas, to Francis Marion and Mary Essie (Stillwell) DeFoor. She attended Wilson Consolidated #2 School, graduating from Wilson High School. On November 16, 1946, she and Otis Lavern Covington were united in marriage at Vernon, Texas. He preceded her in death on February 19, 1988. Ollie worked for many years as a factory supervisor for Centra Leather Goods in Frederick. She was a loving mother and grandmother; her family was her pride and joy. Ollie was a very artistic individual; she enjoyed antiquing, sewing and was an outstanding cook. She was well known for her Italian Cream Cakes. She is survived by three daughters, Linda Covington Adams of Holly Lake Ranch, Texas, Peggy Covington Gallerani and her husband Ray of Arlington, Texas, and WeDonna Covington Flores and her husband Jesse of Frederick, Oklahoma; seven grandchildren, Charles Hanes and his wife Adrian, Tacy Stewart, Ginger Lynch and her husband Brad, Zachary Stewart, Ryan Gallerani and his wife Kelsey, Erick Barnett and his wife Missy and Hayley Cavender; eleven great-grandchildren, Alie Hanes, Caroline Hanes, Jacob Dority, Kyle Lynch, Sam Lynch, Owen Lynch, Alice Gallerani, Blythe Barnett, Mallory Barnett, Melanie Miller and Justine Cavender; and four step-granddaughters, Jessica Schafer, Carmen Schroeder, Diana Adams and Donna Harper. She was preceded in death by her parents, Francis Marion and Mary Essie DeFoor; her husband, Otis Lavern Covington; one grandson, Jeffrey Hanes; five brothers, Wilburn DeFoor, Coyle DeFoor, James Hestle DeFoor, Marshall DeFoor, and one brother who died in infancy; and five sisters, Rudene David, Viola Tribble, Geneva Brown, Priscilla Suttee, and Imogene Willimon.
