: Obituary James Wesley Shedd, 87, died Feb. 28 after a lengthy illness. Funeral services for the former Belton resident were March 2. Shedd was born in Karnes County on Feb. 18, 1898. Shedd is survived by his wife, Mrs. Bessie Mae Wigley Shedd of Hamilton; his children, Bill Shedd of Dumas, Eldridge Shedd of Dumas, Raymond Shedd of Sunray, Mrs. Clara Lucas of Hamilton, Mrs. Mollie Drake of Hamilton, Mrs. Dorothy Lucas of Hamilton and Mrs. Ruth Huey of DeSoto, and 41 grandchildren, a number of great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
