Bio

J.M. "Jim'' Nichols, 97, of Coahoma died Wednesday, April 23, 1997, in a local hospital. Services will be at 2 p.m. today at College Park Church of God with burial in Trinity Memorial Park. Arrangements are by Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home. He was born Feb. 21, 1900, in Bangs and had been a resident of Coahoma since 1970. He worked for the State Highway Department in road construction and was a member of the College Park Church of God. Survivors include a son, LeRoy Nichols of Coahoma; two daughters, Pearl McGahey of Santa Anna and Louise Peavy of Houston; a sister, Ola Russell of Brownwood; six grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.
