"The funeral of Stanley McCuIIough occurred from the McCuIIough residence on the Hill Friday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock, the Rev. Chambers of Tyro officiating, with interment in the Robbins cemetery. The Royal Neighbors from Coffeyville took charge of the services. On account of a collision on the interurban line which caused irregularity in the running time, several of those from the Coffeyville lodge were unable to come, only six being present. This also caused a delay in the arrival of the floral offerings from the lodge and school children of Dearing, which were sent from Coffeyville. The death of Mr. McCuIIough, which occurred at his home on the Hill Thursday morning at 5 o'clock, was the result of a lingering illness, from consumption which extended over a period of a number of years. He was 36 years old and is survived by a wife and two children, Forest aged 8, and Russell aged 4. W. E. McCuIIough, a brother of the deceased arrived from Chautauqua Springs, Kan., Friday to attend the funeral. Immediately after the funeral of her husband, Stanley McCuIIough, Friday, Mrs. McCuIIough suffered a nervous breakdown which made necessary her removal to the American hotel, where she was placed under the care of Mrs. Hougardy. Mrs. McCuIIough has been in poor health for some time. Owing to her frail condition fears are expressed as to the outcome of her present illness."
