Dorothea "Dot" Holzinger of Ord, Nebraska died Sunday, September 15, 2019 at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney, Nebraska. =================================================== Dorothea Kay "Dot" Holzinger, the daughter of Cecelia (Brunholtz) and Frank Sullivan, was born July 16, 1941 at Salina, Kansas. She departed this life on Sunday, September 15, 2019 at Kearney, Nebraska at the age of 78 years, 1 month and 29 days. Dot spent her childhood years in Kansas and received her formal education attending the Bennington schools, graduating with the class of 1958. Following graduation Dot moved to Grand Island, Nebraska where she was employed in retail clothing. She was united in marriage with Pete Moriarty and this union was blessed with two daughters, Salli and Sandra. They made their home in a number of Nebraska communities and the marriage later ended in divorce. Dot moved to Ord, Nebraska where she later met and married Jerry Holzinger. They continued to make the Ord community their home where they enjoyed camping, taking gambling trips, relaxing with lake activities and following their grandchildren's many activities. She was also a member of the Red Hats. Due to her failing health, Dot moved to Kearney in 2017. She was preceded in death by her parents and step-father, Ed Belk; and her husband, Jerry Holzinger. Left to treasure her memory are her daughters, Salli Moriarty and husband, Mark Clark of Sand Springs, Oklahoma; Sandra Moriarty of Logan, Kansas; four grandchildren, Cody, Lane, Waylan and Ryan; a brother, Bud Sullivan and wife, Diane, of Bennington, Kansas; other relatives and friends. Memorial services will be Thursday, 10:30 AM, September 19, 2019 at the Williams Funeral Home in Red Cloud with Rev. Gary Bennett officiating. Inurment will be at the Red Cloud Cemetery.
