Andrew Jackson "Black Jack" Golden was the son of Laten (have also been spelled Layton) Golden and Nancy Parks. He was called Black Jack because he had a 1st cousin by the same name of Andrew Jackson Golden that lived nearby so he was called Black Jack due to his Black hair and his cousin went by "Red Jack" due to his Red hair. His wife was Sarah E. Golden Hatchery. He served in the Confederate Army in the 34th Alabama Regiment, Company E. He enlisted in 1862 in Loachapoka Alabama (Macon County) and was discharged in 1865.
