Published Obituary from the Austin American (Austin, Texas) January 6, 1947, Page 9 Newton M Nunn Smithville, Jan. 5 Newton M Nunn, 82, died in the Austin hospital Saturday. A rtired farmer, he was born and raised in Bastrop County. Survivors are his wife; five daughters, Mrs. Lora Lee Hanks, Mrs. L. E. Wunneburger and Mrs. A. V. Abeldstrom, all of Houston; and Mrs. Robert Craig of Kilgore; three sons, Roy Nunn of San Antonio, and Kenneth and David Nunn, both of Austin. His was married to Lela Caroline Strickland Services will be held at the Marrs Funeral Home here Monday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. S. A Nite, Primitive Baptist minister, officiating. Burial will e the Eglin cemetery. Other Children of Newton M and Lela Strickland Nunn are: Sallie Caroline Nunn Gladys Nunn Lou Nunn Kenneth Nunn
