Frankie Joe Ehler April 22, 1927 - August 31, 2019 Frankie Joe Ehler, 92, of Cameron, died Saturday, August 31, 2019 in a Temple veterans nursing facility. Funeral services will be 10:00 am Wednesday, September 4, 2019 at St. Monicas Catholic Church. Entombment will be in the St. Monicas Mausoleum. Visitation will be Tuesday, September 3, 2019 from 6:00-8:00 pm at Marek-Burns-Laywell Funeral Home with a Rosary recited at 7:00 pm. Mr. Ehler, retired farmer and rancher, was born on April 22, 1927 in Floresville, Texas to Richard and Sophie (Klasek) Ehler. He went to work for McLane Wholesale and then worked for E.R. Carpenter until retirement. He was a U. S. Army Veteran of the Korean War. He was a member of St. Monicas Catholic Church, V. F. W., American Legion, a former board member of the Milam County Junior Livestock Show and Salem Elm Ridge Water Corp. Mr. Ehler was an avid Dallas Cowboy fan who loved fishing and playing dominoes. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Ann Ehler in 1988. He is survived by: Sons David of Rockdale, Charles of Rockdale Daughter Rosemary of Three Rivers, Sister Marjorie of Waco 6 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren Marek-Burns-Laywell Funeral Home 2800 North Travis, Cameron, TX
