Pipkin Who Came to the Masonic Home From Cheney Died Yesterday Afternoon. John D. Pipkin, the oldest resident at the Masonic Home died yesterday afternoon. Mr. Pipkin came to the home from Cheney in June 1897, and had been here since. His death had been expected at most any time during the last three weeks. The deceased was 82 years of age, having been born at Cotton Grove, Madison county, Tennessee, April 29, 1829. He leaves four sons, three of which live in the city. One son lives in Tennessee. The body will be taken to Cheney tonight where the services will be held tomorrow under the auspices of the Cheney Masonic lodge. Interment will be made at Waterloo. (transcribed by Judy Mayfield)
