Stella I. Hughes Stella I. Hughes, 91, of Tieton died Tuesday at Summitview Health Care Center. Mrs. Hughes was born in Brentwood, Ark. She worked for 45 years in the fruit industry and spent much of that time as a sorter in fruit warehouses until retiring in 1988. Survivors include five children, Dolly Belle Stephens of San Angelo, Texas, David Hughes of Yakima, Loveta Akins of Centralia, Wash., Jean Ashbrooks of Tieton and Ronnie Hughes of Yakima; a brother, Amos Keys of Greeley, Colo.; two sisters, Zella Canfield of West Fork, Ark., and Grace Hughes of Winslow, Ark.; 18 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Services are pending. Keith & Keith Funeral Home, Yakima, is in charge of arrangements.
