Raymond was born September 18, 1925 to J. Ray and Loretta (Pageler) TePoel. He attended Duck Creek grade school, graduated from Prague High School and attended Army G.I. School in Prague. He proudly served his country in the US Army, entering September 22, 1944 and being honorable discharged from his duties on November 24, 1946. During his time in the Army, he received the Bronze Star, Asiatic Pacific Campaign Medal, WWII Victory Medal, and a Good Conduct Medal. On December 27, 1947, he was united in marriage to Irene M. Musilek at St Peter Catholic Church in Omaha. He was a lifelong farmer, who enjoyed restoring old tractors, tractor drives, and carpentry. He was a member of St John the Baptist Catholic Church, American Legion Post #254, and the Camp Creek Threshers.
