Bio
Donald Bonne, 72, of Lenexa, Kansas, passed away June 26th in Kansas City after a long illness. He was born January 23, 1945, in David City, Nebraska, to Maurice F. and Anna (Hosek) Bonne. Don was a graduate of DCHS Class of 1963 and received a bachelor's in agriculture at UNL in 1967, and a master's in agronomy in 1969 after doing research work with soybeans. Don worked as an agronomist for Kansas State from 1969 to 1975. He also worked for a Co-op near Dodge City, Kansas, before accepting a career position with Federal Crop Insurance Corporation in Kansas City. Donald was married to his wife, Patricia, for 47 years. They raised a daughter, Angela, who had two children. He was survived by his wife; daughter; two grandchildren and a brother, Maurice Bonne. He was preceded in death by his parents; and sisters, Delores P. Zavodny and Dorothy A. Franta. Services were private. The Kansas City Star (MO) and The Union Journal Star (NE) ~ June & July, 2017
