Daughter of Anton & Agnes (Marsoun) Semerad. Married to John L. Ondracek on 10-28-1947 at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church at Dodge, NE. Obituary: (From Grand daughter Elizabeth Sebranek) Elsie S. Ondracek, 85, of Dodge died Monday, June 25, 2007, at Parkview Home in Dodge. She was born Dec. 31, 1921, in rural Dodge (Colfax County) to Anton and Agnes (Marsoun) Semerad. She grew up on a farm southwest of Dodge and attended grade school at District 29, in Colfax County. She never attended high school, because she was needed to help work on the family farm. She worked during World War II in Fremont at Roger's Tent and Awning. She also worked 13 years as a nursing aide at Parkview Home in Dodge. She was an active member of the American Legion Auxiliary of Post 122 and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary of Post 8597, both of Dodge, as well as of St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church and its Altar Society and Christian Mothers Society. She married John L. Ondracek on Oct. 28, 1947, at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Dodge. For 53 years, they lived on a farm 6 miles, southeast of Dodge. She had been a resident of Parkview Home since 2002. Survivors include: a son, Daniel (and wife, Carol) Ondracek of Topeka, Kan.; two daughters, Donna (and husband, David) Krumbach of Shelby and Joyce (and husband, Jim) Huston of Columbus; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, John, on Oct. 14, 2000; two sisters; and a brother. The funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Dodge with the Rev. Pat McLaughlin officiating. Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. today at the church and continuing from 9:30 a.m. to service time Wednesday at the church. Rosaries will be said at 3 p.m. today by the Altar Society and Christian Mothers Society and 7:30 p.m. today for the public, both at the church. Burial will be in the church cemetery in rural Dodge.
