Bio
Mary Evelyn Shockey, age 93, passed away October 27, 2013 in Rio Rancho, New Mexico. She was born October 20, 1920 in Muskogee, Oklahoma and moved to Albuquerque in 1937 to live with her aunt and uncle, Jim and Daisy Bass. She loved needlework and did beautiful knitting, needlepoint and counted cross stitch. Mary Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents James and Almeda Novy, husband L.G. Shockey, son Randy Shockey, and brothers Jim and Bob Novy. She is survived by her daughter Glenelle Franzmeier, granddaughters Terra Lynn Goldberg (Jeff) and Nicky Phillips (Jeremy) as well as her great grandchildren Payson and Harley Rogers. Services will be held Saturday, November 16, 2013 at 11:30 am in St. Andrew's Episcopal Church, 518 N. Alameda Blvd. In lieu of flowers, gifts to the Shriners' Hospital may be made.
