The remains were buried at the Adams family burying ground. Mrs. McCary was 73 years of age and was a pioneer of the community in which she died. She is survived by her husband and five children. ***************************** Reprinted from The Champion, Center, Shelby Co., Texas March 8, 1922 Dear grandmother passed away about three weeks ago. She went to sleep on Tuesday night and never awakened any more. She died Sunday evening at five o'clock. Dear grandmother was to where she couldn't walk for three years. She had not attended church in years, but it was because she could not walk. She was as helpless as a baby; could not do anything but just sit and read her Bible, but she enjoyed it ever so much. She was at the home of one of her daughters when she passed away. She had made her home with two of her daughters and they enjoyed having her so much. She was the sunshine of both homes. She loved her children and her grandchildren and she also loved her neighbors and friends. She lived to be 73 years old. She had to with much sorrow, give up four of her children. She is gone, but not forgotten. There will always be a vacant chair, for there is no one who can take dear grandma's place. She was loved by everybody who knew her and had lived in McClelland community all her life. She is survived by her husband and five living children. Her death was a sorrow to all. All of her children was at her bedside at the time of her passing away. Muncie McCary of Patroon; French McCary of Dreka; and Mr. and Mrs. Dean from Antioch community. --Her Loving Grandchild Obit and Memorial Supplied by Kay Parker McCary
