Bio
Bettie Koon, 83, of Waco, passed away on Monday, July 1, 2019 in a local nursing home. Graveside services will be 11:00 AM, Wednesday, July 3, 2019 in Oakwood Cemetery. Mrs. Koon was born on February 1, 1936, in Asa, Texas, to Joe and Bertha (Good) Bailey. She married Aubrey Koon in Waco in 1952 and they celebrated over 44 wonderful years together before his death in 1996. Mrs. Koon loved gardening, ceramics and cooking but her true love was her family. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter; Vickie, 10 brothers and two sisters. Survivors include her daughters; Connie Zapata and Tina Koon and wife, Michele Lopez, grandchildren; Kandice Deal and husband, Chris, Jason Ratliff, Hope Reyes and her husband, Buck Ramirez, Christopher Reyes and his wife, Priscilla Ochoa and Nikki Reyes and her husband, Chris Navarro, 11 great grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
