Veteran of the Civil War. Private, Company K, 154th Illinois Infantry Regiment, U.S.A. Discharge Certificate states, "Paid in full Sept 22, 1865" "To all Whom it My Concern: Know ye, that Pulaski Reed a private of Captain Burton Browns company (K) 154 Regiment of Illinois Vol Inf Volunteers, who was enrolled on the 15th day of Feby one thousand eight hundred and sixty five to serve one year, hereby DISCHARGED from the service of the United States this 18th day of Sept 1865 at Nashville, Tenn by reason of SON68 Hd Qrs Dept Tenn dated Sept 11/65. (No objection to his being re-enlisted is known to exist) Said Pulaski was born in the state of Ohio is 18 years of age, 5 feet 6 inches high, light complexion, Haz eyes, Light hair, and by occupation, when enrolled, a Farmer.
