The Banner-Press (David City, Nebr.), February 19, 1976, p 11, col. 5 Services Held For Mike Bratetic Funeral services for Mike Bratetic, 80, of 4009 So. 29th St., Omaha, were conducted Saturday morning, Jan. 31, from St. Bridget's Church, Omaha. Mr. Bratetic died in the Lutheran Hospital Thursday, Jan. 28, following a heart attack. Rev. Schad officiated at the service and the church choir provided the music. Pallbearers were Garry Bratetic, Leonard Bratetic, Jr., Dennis Bratetic, Harold Durbin, Jr., Don Bratetic and Dean Bratetic. Burial was in Hill Crest Cemetery. Mike Bratetic, the son of Mike and Frances Bratetic, was born March 14,1895, at Omaha. On Feb. 10, 1920, he was united in marriage to Anna Zeleny at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Bruno. Three children were born to this union. He lived in the Bruno area, later moving to Omaha. He was a retired farmer and truck driver. He was a veteran of World War I. He is survived by his wife; two sons, Ernest and Leonard Bratetic and a daughter, Bea Durbin, all of Omaha; two brothers, John of Norfolk and Joe Bratetic of Ulysses; three sisters, Mary Hill of Utah, Anna Worth of San Francisco, Calif., and Frances Hutchinson of Arizona; 12 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. A brother, Frank Bratetic, preceded him in death.
