Bio

DEWEY COX died December 24, 1980. His parents were Jesse and Dewey Cox, Sr. He was employed a number of years by L. R. Pearson in his law offices. Dewey received his law degree from the University of Texas at Austin. In addition to his law practice, he was Registrar and taught Business Administration at Ranger Junior College. He married Frances Wortham from Sweetwater in 1956. They had one child who only lived a few days. His step-children were Lee and Carl Ausburne. He had two brothers, Charles M. Cox and Richard Cox, and two sisters, Betty Cox of Bridgeport, Texas, and Delores Cox of San Antonio.
