Paul Smith Julian Daily Herald (Provo, UT) - Friday, March 2, 2018 1928-2018 Paul Smith Julian 90 passed away Feb. 21, 2018 at home in American Fork, Utah. Paul was born in Lehi, Utah on January 6, 1928 to Gayle Smith and Gayle Julian. As a young boy he attended school in Lehi and joined the Navy in 1945. While in the Navy Paul proudly served in World War 2. Paul married Beverly Hanks in 1946; they were later divorced. Upon discharge from the Navy they moved to Pocatello, Idaho where he attended Idaho State University and graduated from the school of Pharmacy. In 1950 Paul opened his first drug store, Julians Drug, and had a successful business for many years. He sold Julians Drug and went on to manage three pharmacies for Allens Drug. Paul loved golfing and was a charter member of the Alpine Country Club for many years. On Oct. 31, 1967 Paul married Hazel Squires and was very proud to have recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. Survived by loving wife Hazel, children Paula Angus (Mike Taylor), Randy Julian (Nancy), Cindy Gunn (Gregg), Kathie Mullen (Jim), Cole Julian (Lynne), Bonnie Anderton (Dr Kirk Anderton). 25 Grandkids 46 Great Grandkids 10 Great Great Grandkids. Brothers Gill Van Wagoner (Julie), Gerald Julian (Christa); Sister Carol Warnick (Bob). Preceded in death by Grandson Jason Angus, Brothers Richard Van Wagoner, Glen Julian, Richard Julian. There will be a celebration of life for Paul at a later date.
