Bio

Penthus married Emma Jane White in 1883. She died Sept 13, 1933. Then according to South Dakota Marriage Records, after the death of his wife Emma, Penthus had apparently moved to Fairfax, SD and on Dec. 30, 1935, Penthus, age 77 was marri,ed to widow Hattie Waterbury, age 59, whose residence was listed as Carter, SD in Tripp County. The marriage of Penthus and Hattie took place at Winner, SD and was officated by County Judge Windsor Doherty.
