Ruby Grubb, age 88, of Wessington Springs, SD, formerly of Chambers, passed away early Monday morning, July 20, 2015, at the Weskota Manor Nursing Home in Wessington Springs, SD. Visitation was held Thursday, July 23, 2015, at Biglin's Mortuary in O'Neill. Funeral services were held Friday, July 24, 2015, at the United Methodist Church in Chambers. Rev. Duane Waddle officiated. Music was provided by pianists Ferne Briggs and congregational singing. Pallbearers were Spencer Grubb, Kaelub Grubb, Keisha Grubb, Karlie Grubb, Autumn Hofer and Skylar Hofer. Burial was in the Chambers Cemetery. Biglin's Mortuary in O'Neill was in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be made to the family for future designation. Ruby was born on April 30, 1927, in Wilsonville, to Edward and Mary Etta (Dueling) Jones. She married Franklin Ray Grubb on Oct. 11, 1950, in OβNeill. He passed away on Dec. 21, 1999. They were married for 49 years. Ruby was a homemaker, farmwife and ranchwife. She was a member of Chambers United Methodist Church and received her 50 year pin from the church. Ruby is survived by two sons, Don Grubb and wife April of Wessington Springs, SD, and Robert Grubb and wife Beth of Chambers; two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; two sisters, Earlene Moroney and husband Tuck of Grand Island and Shirley Noble of South Sioux City; one brother, Bob Jones and wife Neva of OβNeill; one sister-in-law, Ethel Jones of Lexington; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ray; one brother, Jack Jones; and one sister, Esther Homolka.
