Coeburn, Virginia June 13, 2019 Virginia Lee Holbrook Counts, 92, passed away Wednesday, June 12, 2019 in the Holston Valley Medical Center Kingsport, Tennessee. She was a member of the Mount Olivet Church Coeburn, Virginia. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jimmy & Mahala Buchanan Holbrook, her husband, Robert Leon Counts, two sons, Jimmy Counts, Jerry Leon Counts Sr., a brother, Jack Holbrook and a sister Gaye Burke. Surviving are three sons, Greg (Joyce) Counts, Tommy (Patricia) Counts and Tracy (Elizabeth) Counts; four daughters, Brenda (John) Puckett, Judith (Zane) Hale, Debbie (Roger) Bell and Jane Adkins; a brother, Joe (Libby) Holbrook; three sisters, Jean McCall, Becky Proulex and Carolyn (Larry) Straley; 24 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Friday, June 14, 2019 5 P.M. to 7 P.M. at the Sturgill Funeral Home 310 6th Street NW Coeburn, VA. Funeral services will follow at 7 P.M. in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Bobby Rose and Brother Les Ritchie officiating. Graveside Services will be conducted 11 A.M. Saturday, June 15, 2019 at the Greear-Rose Cemetery Crab Orchard Section of Coeburn, VA.
