Bio

The Oklahoman, Tuesday, January 4, 1955: James D. Gibbons, 81, of 714 NE 10, died after suffering a stroke Monday in a local rest home. Services are pending at Street & Draper Funeral Home. Gibbons was a former city water department employee for several years. He was born in Albany, KY, and came to Oklahoma City in 1900. He was a member of the Baptist Church. Survivors include his son, James Gibbons, Denver, Colo.; one sister, Mrs Betty Dyer, 2020 NW 23; two brothers, Robert L. Gibbons, NW 24 & MacArthur: and J. L. Gibbons, Fort Lauderdale, FL; and one grandson. The Oklahoman, Wednesday, January 5, 1955: Services for James D.
