Funeral services were held Feb. 13 at St. Pauls' Lutheran Church at Aleman with Pastor Wilbert Sohns officiating. Burial was in the St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery. Mr. Meissner was born January 1, 1944 at Hamilton, the son of Henry Edwin Meissner and Frieda Hulda Krueger Meissner. He worked for the Rainbo Bread Company as a route representative for 26 years. Later he operated Ray Meissner Lawn and Ground Maintenance and for the past two years served as a substitute mail carrier. He had recently been awarded a contract mail route with the Postal Service. He was married to Yvonne Gummelt on Dec. 29, 1990. He was preceded in death by his father, two brothers one dying in infancy and Halbert Gene Meissner. He is survived by his wife; his mother Frieda Krueger Meissner of Hamilton; five children Brenda Ann Armstrong and Travis Meissner, both of Hamilton, Toby Lloyd Glosson of Dripping Springs, Gary Dale Glosson of Austin, Tavia Dawn Glosson of Evant; nine grandchildren; one sister Mavis Drueckhammer of Priddy and two very close relatives that he viewed as brother and sister, Lloyd and Janice Melde of Blue Ridge. Pallbearers were Toby Glosson, Gary Glosson, Martin Seider, James Sommerfeld, Jeff Rice, Stephen Melde, Darrell Melde and Sam Gummelt. The family has designated CCS Hospice of Dublin and St. Paul's Lutheran Church for memorials. Evant Funeral Chapel
