Frank was born on July 5, 1935 in Bell County to Frank J. Vasek, Sr. and Rosie Matous Vasek. Following graduation from Temple High School he received an associate's degree from Temple College. Frank served his country in the United States Army. During his time in the armed services, he was a proud member of the Color Guard. Frank was a cabinet maker and home builder prior to working as a plant manager for Chupik Corporation and Artco-Bell Corporation in Temple. After retiring in 1998, Frank enjoyed cooking, hunting, fishing and spending time with his family and friends. Frank had a generous heart and served others through cooking meals and delivering them to his friends and neighbors. He was a very talented wood worker who shared his craft through building custom gun stocks, furniture, and cabinets for those he loved. Although he may have been perceived as a serious person, he was a prankster at heart who loved to play practical jokes on his friends, co-workers and family. Frank was confirmed as a teenager and a member of Ocker Brethren Church, dedicated to reading the Word of God every day. He is survived by his devoted wife, Linda of Temple; daughters, Nikki Costanza and husband Matt Friendshuh of Fort Worth; Dawn Heitman and husband Mark of Temple, and son, Steven Vasek of Temple. He loved spending time with his 8 grandchildren; Sarah, Rachel, Hannah, Leah, Paige, Duggan, Chelsea, and Ian. Frank has a dedicated sister, Edna Pechal of Temple. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Rosie, and brothers Edwin and Albert Vasek.
