Douglas Theodore Langford, Sr., 85, of Kountze, died Monday, June 10, 2019, at Kountze Nursing Center, Texas. He was born on February 8, 1934, in Groveton, to Elsie Evelyn Hardin and David Young Langford. Douglas was an Untired Sates Army veteran. He also worked in the oilfield as a pumper. Survivors include his son, Dale Langford and his wife, Becky, of Lafayette, Louisiana; grandchildren, Daniel Langford and his wife, Aundreal, of Broussard, Louisiana and Jose Lopez, of Dayton; great-grandchildren, Alexandria and Darien Lanford, of Broussard, Louisiana and Abbie and Lane Lopez, of Dayton; sister, Hannah Langford; and nephews, Larry Langford and his wife, April and James David Langford. Douglas is preceded in death by his wife, Anita Loos Langford; parents; son, Douglas T. Langford, Jr.; and siblings, Guida, Bo and Norma Langford. A gathering of Mr. Langford’s family and friends will begin at 11:00 a.m., with his funeral service to follow at 1:00 p.m., Friday, June 14, 2019, at Broussard’s, 530 West Monroe, Kountze. His interment will follow at Rosedale Cemetery, Sour Lake.
