Bio

NAPLES - Services for Welborn Emmett Griffin, 88, of Union Chapel, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, June 21, 2007, at Union Chapel United Methodist Church, with the Rev. John Bingham officiating. Interment will follow in Union Chapel Cemetery. Arrangements are by Harrison Funeral Home. Mr. Griffin died June 19, 2007, in Hughes Springs. Born April 14, 1919, in Cass County, he was a U.S. Army veteran, having served during World War II and active member of Union Chapel United Methodist Church. Survivors include his wife, Obed Griffin; daughter, Cheryl Harrison; and brother, David Griffin. Published in the Longview News-Journal on 6/20/2007.
