MaryAnn Brabec October 29, 1931 ~ May 18, 2019 (age 87) MaryAnn C. Brabec LONGMONT, Colo. - Mary Ann C. (Kubr) Brabec of Longmont, Colo. was born on Oct. 29, 1931 to George A. and Louise (Stara) Kubr in Prague, NE. She passed away on May 18, 2019 at age 87. MaryAnn graduated from Prague High School. She married Louis J. Brabec on Oct. 3, 1950. They had seven children and farmed outside Mead and were members of St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Wahoo. She and her family later moved to Longmont, Colo. in 1968. MaryAnn enjoyed gardening, especially her flowers, embroidery and sewing. She was proud of her Czech heritage and carried on the tradition of baking kolaches with her daughters and granddaughters. MaryAnn always treasured spending time with her children and grandchildren. MaryAnn was a longtime member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Longmont, Colo. She is survived by six daughters and one son, Leona (Gary), Laurel; Linda, LuAnn (Randy), Lynette (Neil), Robert (Tammy) and Lenise. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren, six great-grand-children and her brother, Joseph (Sharon) of Wahoo. Memorial Services will be held at Carroll-Lewellen Funeral Home, 503 Terry Street in Longmont, Colo. on June 2 at 1 p.m.
